Bellissimo Tavarnelle
Bellissimo Tavarnelle
Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, Florence
24 X 20
Acrylic on canvas
The countryside of Tavarnelle with an earth coloured narrow roadway and old stone heritage structure on the left are of soft greys, burnt sienna, light reds, oranges, a variety of green climbing vines and bright red light box and flowers. On the right side of the painting are bushes and different trees of lime green, blue-green, dark green, and bright red flowers appear to hug an old stone structure with dark rust colours and a tall dark green and blue cypress balances the painting with the architecture on the left of the canvas.
The shadows are very dark purple in the painting. There is a pale turquoise lake in the distance with reflections of trees which frame it.
Farmers fields and trees and a range of turquoise hills with cypress trees fade in the background. The painting evokes a mood or curiosity as the viewer wonders what could be beyond the little roads which continue in both directions in the midground.
